Oxfam's Cool Planet Web Site

I recently received this press release from Oxfam:

"A new look for a new school term...Oxfam's Cool Planet web site has been revamped
Oxfam's web site for teachers and children is now much easier to use and has a great new look.
Our free lesson plans, case studies and teaching ideas are simpler to find, and each week we'll be highlighting a different part of the site to help you tackle issues in the news.
We've also updated our Make Poverty History section to include information about what happened at the G8 Summit, examples of how schools got into white wrapping, and ideas for taking part in White Band Day 2
We'll be updating many parts of the site over the next 6 months, so why not sign up for our Cool Planet termly email newsletter to be the first to hear about what's new online, as well as other education for global citizenship news from Oxfam.

Scamps - Educational Stamps

We ran some advertising a few months back for Scamps. I thought I'd mention them here in case you didn't check them out at the time.

Scamps are educational stamps created from your own pictures by Marwood Design. They're incredibly high quality stamps that print at 600dpi so you can include photos on them!

DEC Niger Crisis Appeal

You can't really miss TV and newspaper coverage about the crisis in Niger but I just thought I'd add a link to the Disasters Emergency Committee web site where you can donate online.

CBeebies: A Midsummer Night's Dream

A nice little addition to the large range of animated stories in the CBeebies library (which are always very useful especially when looking at traditional tales) is a short animated version of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'.

Should be very useful to all those who need to look at a Shakespeare play.
