 For your homework
this week I would like you to make up a card game that would help
young infant children practise their spelling. Your game
can be anything you want it to be. One idea is to do a 'snap'
game. You could have cards with pictures of different things on
them and the children would have to shout 'snap' when the things
on the cards began with the same letter. Or 'snap' might be shouted
out when the things began or ended with the same sounds, e.g.
                tree, trousers. Your cards
could have letters or parts of words on them. Your game could
have the children matching cards together to make whole words,
e.g. 'mat' and 'ch' would make 'match'. |
