How many nursery rhymes can you remember? Maybe you could make a list of them. Pretend that you're a newspaper reporter. Imagine that your newspaper has asked you to report on the events in one of the nursery rhymes. Write a newspaper report about what happens in the rhyme. Think of a snappy headline for your story, e.g. "HORNER FINDS PLUM!" Bring your report into school. We will be making a "Nursery Rhyme Times" newspaper. (Looking at some newspapers might help you write your own newspaper report. Look at the way that newspapers use headlines to grab your attention and make you read the story underneath.) |
