Literacy Task - Past Tense

To change most words into the past tense you add -ed. However, some change completely (e.g. take becomes took). Say the words in your head to see if they sound right. Remember, the past tense has already happened.

Task One.

Copy these sentences into your books. You must only write in the word in the bracket that is in the past tense.

  3. The crowd (clapped, claps, clap) after Crewe scored a goal.
  4. Yesterday I (sung, singed, sang) in the school choir.
