Past, Present and Future Tense

Verbs tell us whether something is happening now (PRESENT), has already happened (PAST) or is going to happen (FUTURE).

Example

A bird flew over the mountains.

Now the bird is flying over the sea.

Tonight the bird will fly over my house.

PAST

PRESENT

Task One

Rewrite these sentences so they show past, present and future tenses.

E.g. Mark is finishing his dinner. (Present)

Mark has finished his dinner. (Past)

Mark will soon finish his dinner. (Future)

I got up at half past six and went down to have my breakfast. I played on my computer for half an hour and read my book, then I called for my friend. We ran to the shop and bought some Cola Cubes.
