Goldilocks and the Three Bears
(Activity by GP and Paul Cockcroft)

'Goldilocks and the Three Bears', like other fairy stories, is a familiar story to many children and one that can provide inspiration for many different creative writing activities. The children could write a 'The Real Story...' version of the tale or carry out a similar activity to the Big Bad Wolf Police Interview detailed elsewhere.
A simple idea is to simply extend the middle part of the story so as to make Goldilocks get up to a lot more mischief in the house. The trick for the children here is to take on board the important features of the story structure i.e. the fact that Goldilocks tries daddy bear's things, then mummy bear's things and then finally creates some sort of damage to baby bear's things.
