Writing Instructions:
Lego Instructions
Here's a truly 'solid' activity. Or, as my children would say a 'brick' activity. Literally. Get your children to understand why some instructions are given pictorially by making them turn a set of Lego instructions into a set of 100% text directions. It's very challenging with the whole thing hinging on coming up with suitable names for the pieces and good use of positional language.
