'Douze'
idea contributed by Emma Lock

Emma writes: 'A simple and fun game is 'douze'. All children stand up and can say a maximum of three numbers in sequence in French. e.g. un, deux, trois. The next person would continue with a maximum of three numbers which follow on. The person who has to say 'douze' has to sit down and the game starts again from 'un'. The children later realise that there are certain tactics which will help them (and their friends!) to stay in the game.'
