'Slap Snap'
idea contributed by Pat MacCowan

Pat writes: 'This is a French game for numbers or colours.

For each group of children (4-6) -> a large sheet of paper A1.

Children write the numbers 1-10 (later 11-20) or draw circles with colours (hand sized)

The teacher calls out a number and whoever slaps their hand on it first gets a counter (jeton)

If no-one gets it before teacher translates it passes.

The child with most counters wins.

This is noisy but good fun. When vocabulary is sound one child can call out the numbers or colours.'
