D Thyssen writes: 'I've just started German in Class 2. The children are very enthusiastic although they feel awkward when put on spot to say something in German in front of all the others. So at the moment they enjoy answering or repeating all together or talking to their neighbour. To introduce new vocabulary I have my special "Zaubertuete" in which I collect pictures ore small examples of the new word. ( small cuddly toys for animals, pretend food, etc) Children love this as it is always a surprise what comes out of the bag. they can guess and I can describe what I have in my hand before I show it to the class.
